In Peak Oil: Myth or Reality? Ian R Crane does not advocate that we should continue to burn in excess of 90million barrels of hydro-carbons each day but he is concerned that the proponents of ‘Peak Oil’ are inadvertently playing into the hands of Big Oil. With the price of oil having risen to almost $150 per barrel in July 2008 and Oil Companies once again reporting record profits, the Oil price has now fallen dramatically (to under $50 per Barrel) in just four months. Ian has always proclaimed that 'Peak Oil' is a political 'Construct' and in this presentation he produces the evidence which challenges the hypothesis that the world is on the brink of an 'Oil Crunch' and explains how in 1971 the Petro-dollar' was created as a device to accelerate Globalisation.
